Data sovereignty

Your registry data never leaves your server

Registry OS is a single-tenant, self hosted deployment dedicated to your organization. Domains, registrant contacts, DNS zones, and EPP/RDAP/WHOIS records live exclusively in databases you control. BorgLayer has no access to your data. The software validates its license offline with no phone home, safe for air gapped networks, so enforcement never depends on connectivity or leaks operational data.

What's included

A complete registry stack

EPP provisioning

Standards-based EPP for accredited registrars to register, renew, transfer, and manage domains.

RDAP & WHOIS

Registration data published over RDAP (HTTPS) and classic WHOIS for public lookup.

DNSSEC

Zone signing via PowerDNS. You hold the keys; submit the DS record to the parent.

Domain lifecycle

Full lifecycle: grace, autorenew, redemption, and pending delete, all enforced automatically.

Registrar accreditation

Onboard, accredit, suspend, and bill registrars from the operator console.

Operator console

A web console for TLD policy, domains, registrars, billing, DNS, backups, and support.

Licensing

Annual license, offline enforcement

Annual license

A recurring annual license funds ongoing security, DNSSEC, and standards support. Optional one-time onboarding is available; self-install is free.

Signed offline key

Each license is an Ed25519 signed key tied to your organization, TLD, and term. Validated locally, no internet required.

Flexible payment

Pay in USDC, or by invoice for government procurement. Your download unlocks once the license is active.
